I have been a faculty at San Diego Mesa College since 1989. I travel to high schools to teach the first two semesters of college calculus to qualified high school students. Many of the students who take my class are sophomores or juniors in high school. As a result, I also teach the second year of college math of Linear Algebra and Discrete Math for the students who want to continue their math studies. All of these courses are transferable to the UC and State College system for college credit. These courses are better than AP courses as no test is necessary at the end of the year. The students earn college credit.
I helped homeschooled my two sons through 8th grade. They then entered La Jolla High where I teach the college math courses. One of my sons is now a pilot serving the Coast Guard with an engineering degree. My other son is finishing up Med School this year.
I have had many opportunities to help students of many ages succeed in their math studies. I am passionate about helping students learn, understand and enjoy math!
